        MIGRATION

        1 jigger Rum
        1/2 jigger Unsweetened Grapefruit Juice
        1/2 jigger Orange Juice
        1/4 jigger Curacao

        Fill shaker with cracked ice. Add ingredients. Shake and strain into glass.
        *******************************************************
         

        CREOLE COCKTAIL

        (After one sip, you'll repeat the words you say a thousand times a day.)

        1/2 jigger Extra Dry Vermouth
        1/2 jigger Sweet Vermouth
        2 dashes Benedictine
        2 dashes Bitters
        Lemon peel, garnish

        Fill shaker with ice. Add ingredients. Stir and strain into glass.

        Tequila Sunrise

        2 oz tequila
        juice from two freshly squeezed oranges
        dash of grenadine
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake tequila, orange juice, cracked ice. Strain over rocks into highball glass. Top with a dash of grenadine. (Do not stir in.)

        STRAWBERRY MARGARITA

        2 oz tequila
        juice of ½ lime, freshly squeezed
        ½ cup fresh strawberries
        lime wedge
        coarse sugar
        one strawberry
        whipped cream

        Rub rim of cocktail glass with lime wedge, then dip rim into sugar.

        Toss tequila, lime juice, and strawberries (except the one strawberry) into blender. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into cocktail glass. Top with whipped cream. Garnish with remaining strawberry.

        STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI

        2 oz light rum
        juice from ¼ lime, freshly squeezed
        one cup fresh strawberries
        ½ tsp sugar
        ½ cup crushed ice
        one strawberry
        one orange slice

        Toss everything except the one strawberry and the orange slice in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with strawberry and orange slice.

        For a treat, omit the sugar and ice, and substitute ½ cup vanilla (or strawberry or banana) ice cream. Anyone for a dollop of whipped topping?!?

        PINK LADY

        1½ oz gin
        2 oz cream
        dash of grenadine
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake gin, cream, grenadine, and cracked ice vigorously. Strain over rocks into chilled cocktail glass.

        PINA COLODA

        1½ oz light rum
        1½ oz coconut cream
        1½ oz crushed fresh pineapple
        4 oz crushed ice
        orange slice
        pineapple wedge
        cherry (or strawberry)
        whipped topping (optional)

        Toss rum, coconut cream, crushed pineapple, and ice into blender. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into chilled cocktail glass. Top with whipped cream. Garnish with orange slice, pineapple wedge, and cherry or strawberry.

        Some folks prefer their piña coladas shaken with cracked ice instead of frozen. You may make yours that way, if you wish. But a REAL piña colada is FROZEN!!

        ORANGE BLOSSOM

        2 oz gin
        juice from two freshly squeezed oranges
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake gin, orange juice, cracked ice. Strain over rocks into highball glass. Top with an umbrella, if you feel lucky.

        *******************************************************
        MAI TAI

        1 oz light rum
        1 oz dark rum
        juice from one freshly squeezed lime
        ½ oz Amaretto or orgeat syrup
        ½ tsp sugar
        cherry
        orange slice
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake liquors, lime juice, sugar, and cracked ice. Strain over rocks into highball glass. Garnish with orange slice and cherry.

        *******************************************************
        LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

        ½ oz vodka
        ½ oz gin
        ½ oz light rum
        ½ oz tequila
        ½ oz triple sec
        cola to fill
        lemon slice
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake liquors (not cola!) and cracked ice. Strain over rocks into tall glass. Add cola to fill. Garnish with lemon slice. Serve with straw and an ice tea spoon.

        HURRICANE

        1 oz dark rum
        1 oz light rum
        1 oz gin
        2 oz fresh pineapple juice
        1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
        juice from ½ orange, freshly squeezed
        juice from ½ lime, freshly squeezed
        cherry
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake well with cracked ice and strain over rocks into highball glass. Garnish with cherry.

        FROZEN MARGARITA

        3 oz tequila
        juice from two freshly squeezed limes
        ½ cup crushed ice
        two lime slices
        Margarita salt (coarse salt)

        Rub rim of cocktail glass with a lime slice, then dip rim into salt.

        Toss tequila, lime juice, and ice into blender. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into cocktail glass. Garnish with remaining lime slice.

        FROZEN DAIQUIRI

        2 oz light rum
        juice from one freshly squeezed lime
        ½ tsp sugar
        ½ cup crushed ice

        Toss everything in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.

        COMFORTABLE SCREW

        1 oz vodka
        ½ oz Southern Comfort
        juice from one freshly squeezed orange
        ice cubes

        Mix and serve over rocks in chilled highball glass.

        *******************************************************
        CLASSIC MARGARITA

        3 oz tequila
        juice from two freshly squeezed limes
        cracked ice
        ice cubes
        two lime slices
        Margarita salt (coarse salt)

        Shake tequila, lime juice, and cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with remaining lime slice.

        CLASSIC DAIQUIRI

        2 oz light rum
        juice from one freshly squeezed lime
        ½ tsp sugar
        cracked ice
        ice cubes

        Shake rum, lime juice, and sugar vigorously with cracked ice. Strain over a few ice cubes in a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
